Capitalism

Capitalism is a political/economic system based on private ownership of the means of production and the creation of goods or services for profit by privately-owned businesses. In a capitalist society, owners of capital have property rights that entitle them to earn a profit as a reward for putting their capital at risk in an economic activity.
